HISTORY

Roselawn Cemetary

Roselawn Cemetery, formerly known as the Masonic Cemetery, carries a rich history dating back to the 1800s. In its early years, the cemetery was comprised of organized sections and family plots, each maintained for community burials. In June of 1972, the cemetery transitioned to its current name, Roselawn Cemetery, under the ownership of Paul McLennan.

Roselawn Cemetery has long been the resting place for many pioneers of the Livermore Valley, including William Mendenhall, a key figure in the establishment Livermore. Their rich legacies are interred here, creating a deep connection to the roots of our community.

Veteran Resting Grounds

We pay tribute to the brave veterans who have served our country. Roselawn serves as the final resting place for veterans of the Civil War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Our commitment to honoring our veterans is exemplified by The Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) monument, a tribute to the Civil War soldiers who rest within our historic grounds.
